The problem of helicopter detection requires a simple and fast modelling of rotorcraft signature for scenario testing. Starting from a common straight wire model for the rotor blades, we introduce a new way to simulate the main rotor hub echo. We also take basic helicopter flight dynamics into account by deforming the wire-blades in a realistic way. The updated model gives results much closer to real data, especially in terms of blade flash duration.
