The lack of a one-size fits all solution to the electromagnetic modelling of radomes for AESA applications (full-wave solvers are not a panacea) has necessitated the development of a modelling environment in which different methods (geometrical optics, physical optics and MoM) can be easily combined. The philosophy behind the modelling environment is described, and an example C-sandwich radome, optimised for an AESA antenna, is presented, together with a novel hybrid approach to flashlobe prediction and assessment.
