In this summary, an improved Bull's Eye antenna is proposed, designed for optimum response at 300 GHz. The metallic plate is composed of 11 corrugated concentric rings. A novel feeding technique is proposed, by using a tapered aperture at the middle of the plate. The antenna performance is significantly enhanced in terms of bandwidth and gain. The structure has been simulated with CST Microwave Studio package, and the simulated results demonstrate a maximum gain of 22.8 dBi and a 3-dB bandwidth of 4%. A prototype has been fabricated and the measured results will be presented.
