The new quantitative degasser consists of mud collected system, heating system and degassing system. Sampling head, flexible shaft and data acquisition and detection device are included in mud collected system. The sampling head is designed with filter holes and scrapers. The equipment can not only filter the larger grits in the mud, but also prevent the filter holes being blocked. Heating system contains heater and temperature control device. The spiral flute is installed in the heater. And the heater uses electric heating rods to heat the mud. The advantages of heater are their small volume and high heating efficiency. Degassing system consists of degassing tank and power device, while the mud can be stirred and degassed in the degassing tank. The degasser was designed based on the explosion-proof requirement in the well field. And the grade of explosion-proof can reach level 1. Measured by the field tests, C1~C8, benzene, toluene and other kinds of gas composition could be degassed by the new quantitative degasser. Concerning degassing the methane, the degassing efficiency of the new quantitative degasser reached fifty percent, which was 6~10 times higher than the degassing efficiency of electric degasser under the same environment.
