In HF (high frequency) radar, the discontinuous spectrum is a key obstacle for the range resolution enhancement because of the bandwidth limitation. For increasing the signal effective bandwidth as much as possible, the sparse stepped frequency signal is emerged. However, the conventional correlation processing method for this signal will produce high sidelobe, this paper proposes CS-CORR method and deduced the resolution function. The main idea of this new method is to joint existing compressive sensing (CS) and correlation function (CORR) method. This method can reconstruct the sparse frequency and obtain the estimation of non-sparse frequency structure; also it can reduce the sidelobe interference brought by conventional methods, and further realize the effect of super-resolution.
