The faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling is a bandwidth-efficient technology which has drawn much attention recently. Since the symbols appear too fast, inter-symbol interference (ISI) is inevitable at the receiver. As the ISI introduced by FTN is intentional and controlled, unlike traditional methods, this paper separates the ISI introduced by FTN and channel. So for the FTN communication system, only ISI cancellation for FTN is added and other parts remain unchanged. Analysis and simulation results show that this scheme is feasible and can be easily realized.
