Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) is used for two-dimensional imaging of general objects, such as aircrafts and ships. Three-dimensional (3-D) ISAR imaging is meaningful for automatic target recognition by presenting more detailed description on the characteristics of targets. This paper proposes a 3-D radar imaging algorithm based on the thought of back-projection (BP). Multiple high resolution range profiles (HRRP) are used to estimate the spatial positions of the scattering centres of target, and the detectability of scattering centres is improved by means of non-coherent accumulation. The simulation results have proved the validity of the proposed algorithm. (6 pages)
