Fiber-optic distributed disturbance sensor (FDDS) can locate a single-disturbance effecting on sensing optical fiber cable, while simultaneous multi-disturbances is possible in the practical applications. The multi-disturbances location algorithm based on correlation theory and frequency-domain analysis for Mach-Zehnder interferometer (MZI) based FDDS is proposed and demonstrated. The theory analysis indicated that the proposed algorithm can locate the multi-disturbances. The difficulty of the proposed method is also discussed, and the future work is presented.
