<p>In this study, a study has been conducted to compare the performance of different heuristic optimisation algorithms, such as distributed swarm optimised clustering (DSOC), distributed firefly optimised clustering (DFOC) and distributed jumper firefly optimised clustering (DJFOC) techniques used for the dynamic clustering. In DSOC, every group of clustering nodes moves towards its best swarm particle having the best neighbour location with random velocity to form an organised cluster. DFOC and DJFOC are non-linear optimisation tools based on the random attractiveness of firefly intensity behaviour with the least computation time. DJFOC is support to change the new appropriate situation by the status table. The DJFOC aims to save transmit power with shortest distances and less control overhead when secondary users (SUs) or primary users change its position. The convergence rate of DJFOC is better than the DSOC and DFOC. The results show that the proposed DJFOC has a better efficiency of 10.137% when compared to the DSOC and 2.801% with DFOC in SUs average node power. For a small signal-to-noise ratio <2 dB, the probability of detection is high. In primary detection, the proposed DJFOC is yielding a low false alarm rate compared to DSOC and DFOC.</p>2020-08-18T00:00:00ZVolume 9, Issue 4

<p>A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) consists of set of mobile nodes and communication devices to interact without any support of the infrastructure. Unlike wired networks, the challenges faced in MANETs possessed such as security design, network infrastructure, stringent energy resources and network security issues. The need for these security issues is much focused in overcoming the challenges in MANET. The proposed work focuses on the secure communication using a novel approach addressed on radio station problem for route optimisation, which is deployed by grey wolf optimisation algorithm and supportively task based admittance control model is proposed to monitor the network flow and to identify the malicious nodes. It is also called as role-based control model. The communication is performed based on the cluster of vast sizes these trusted in node(s) will probably be conveying together, at the same time non-entry correspondence of the non-authorised node(s) to keep on maintaining a stable, anchored and reliable gathering of mobile nodes. Simulation is performed using network simulator where the network parameters such as throughput, packet delivery ratio and delay and packet loss are analysed to identify the malicious nodes.</p>2020-04-15T00:00:00ZVolume 9, Issue 2
