Now open for submissions - Special Section: Energy Internet and its related technology research

Energy Internet is an efficient path to establish a sustainable energy utilization system by substituting fossil fuels for renewable energy sources, which makes the energy consumption structure shift towards the direction of low carbonization. Energy Internet is composed as a complex network by coupling together power network, thermal network, natural gas network, and transportation network. By taking advantage of energy technology, advanced control technology, intelligent optimisation technology and information processing technology in the Energy Internet, utilisation of renewable energy sources can be increased and security and stability of energy system can be improved..

The modeling, optimisation, control and stability analysis of the Energy Internet still need to be studied, including modeling and optimisation control techniques for integrated energy systems, trading mechanism design for energy markets and bidding strategies, application of CPS in energy system, etc. These may have a major impact on the development of energy systems and social transformation. Therefore, there is an urgent need for the research community and industry practitioners to develop modeling, optimisation, control and stability analysis for Energy Internet.

This Special Issue will provide a forum for participants from the energy communities and publish state-of-art research papers. Original and research articles are solicited including new technologies, methods mechanisms and practical applications, on a broad range of issues important to energy technology and its applications. Now open for submissions - Special Section: Innovation in Advanced Electrical Power Applications

This Special Section aims to introduce recent innovations in novel devices and systems, as well as thorough reviews of current state-of-the-art technologies. It will provide an opportunity for researchers and professionals in both academia and industry from around the globe to present their electrical power advances in a Gold Open Access environment. The issue will focus on innovation and advances in both classical and novel electrical power applications with three distinct themes: improved electromagnetic analysis and design; the application of high and low temperature superconductivity; and novel semiconductor technologies and applications.

Submitted papers should present the latest technological advancements or critical surveys of electrical power apparatus. Future and emerging electrical power applications of interest include, but are not limited to, renewable electric power generation and networks; smart grids; electrified transportation including hybrid electric marine and aircraft propulsion and their attached power systems. Manuscripts that are multi-disciplinary and/or encompass two or more of the distinct themes above are particularly encouraged: Call for papers.
