Scope

The research of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) addresses the close interactions and feedback loop between cyber components such as sensing systems and dynamic physical components such as energy and mechanical systems. Various emerging technical challenges such as the rapid increase of functionalities, the significant uncertainties and the stringent requirements on performance, safety, security, flexibility and reliability make CPS design increasingly complex. This journal aims to present the state-of-the-art interdisciplinary research addressing the above challenges from a system perspective that includes both cyber and physical aspects, with clear innovative contributions to theory and application.

The topics of interests include, but are not limited to, the following domains:

  • Design, synthesis and verification of CPS
  • Big data modeling and analytics for CPS
  • Cross-layer modeling and optimization for CPS
  • Design automation for CPS
  • Embedded system design for CPS
  • CPS fault detection and recovery
  • CPS security and privacy
  • Sustainability and environmental issues in CPS
  • Social CPS computing
  • Industrial CPS and smart manufacturing
  • Applications of CPS in various domains such as smart energy systems, automotive and transportation systems, smart healthcare, surveillance systems and robotics
