access icon free Performance enhancement of approximated model based near-field sources localisation techniques

Most of the existing near-field sources localisation methods are based on an approximated model. Making use of such an approximation brings degradation in the estimation accuracy. In this study, the authors propose a correction method to mitigate this problem and improve the estimation performance of the approximated model based methods. Simulation results show that the proposed technique can significantly improve the performance of the classical approximated model based near-field sources localisation methods.
