The concept of each solution is thoroughly reviewed and the feasibility is evaluated considering the present limitations in power electronics technology, cost and consumer acceptance. In addition, the challenges and advantages of each technology are discussed. Finally, a thorough comparison is made and a proposed mixed conductive/wireless charging system solution is suggested to solve the inherent existing problems. %@ 1755-4535 %T Overview of wireless power transfer technologies for electric vehicle battery charging %B IET Power Electronics %D January 2014 %V 7 %N 1 %P 60-66 %I Institution of Engineering and Technology %U https://digital-library.theiet.org/;jsessionid=28pge3huqb9uw.x-iet-live-01content/journals/10.1049/iet-pel.2013.0047 %G EN
