An efficient approach for the analysis of microstrip filters is proposed. The computation is based on the method of moments (MoM) in which rooftop basis functions on non-uniform meshes, an analytical integration technique and numerical matched loads are combined. The resulting MoM matrix is then compressed and the computation time is considerably reduced.
