Error-free 100 km transmission at 10 Gbit/s in optical code division multiplexing (OCDM) system with time-gating detection is experimentally demonstrated. The numerical analysis confirms that OCDM using short-pulse sequences can be used to overcome the fibre dispersion effect though time-gated correlation detection.
