By inserting a narrow slit at the edge of an equilateral-triangular microstrip patch, circular polarisation (CP) radiation can be obtained using a single probe feed. This CP design is easy to implement. Details of the antenna design are described, and experimental results of the axial ratio and radiation pattern are presented and analysed.
