A new fuzzy logic controller which can guarantee closed-loop stability, without resorting to a common Lyapunov function, and produce desirable transient performance for nonlinear systems is proposed. Application results in a linear closed-loop system of configurable poles. This controller has been successfully applied to an inverted pendulum.
