A lossy magnetic-material coated horn is described for providing an Earth coverage beam from a geosynchronous satellite. The antenna gives excellent electrical and mechanical performance. Itproduces an axial ratio of better than 0.7 dB in the frequency range 8.0 to 8.3 GHz.
