Solar-tracking radiometers spaced 10.3 km apart have shown that a considerable diversity advantage can be obtained at 37 GHz for Earth-space paths. An attenuation of 15 dB was exceeded for 0.12% of the time at a single site, and for 0.024% of the time at both sites simultaneously.
