access icon free Phase noise performance comparison between microwaves generated with Kerr optical frequency combs and optoelectronic oscillators

Kerr optical frequency combs and optoelectronic oscillators are microwave photonic systems that can generate ultra-pure radio-frequency signals in the gigahertz range. We comparatively investigate the phase noise performances of both microwave generators and analyse as well their specific spectral features.
