This Letter studies novel signal interference between composite right/left-handed transmission line (CRLH-TL) and right-handed transmission line (RH-TL). Theoretical study reveals that proposed innovative structure could not only realise conventional three transmission zeros bandstop response in minimised size but also provide bandpass and highpass filtering characteristic. Finally, a bandpass filter having a wide fractional bandwidth of 142% is implemented with very compact size of 42.27 mm × 26.76 mm. Theoretical predictions are well validated by corresponding measurements.
