A versatile generalised expression for energy detector performance is derived using the α-µ generalised gamma fading model. The derived expression for probability of detection includes as special cases, Nakagami-m, Weibull gamma and inherently their successors. Furthermore, the new expression accommodates non-integer parameters for the fading model and the detector.
