Ultra-compact beam-steering device based on Bragg reflector waveguide amplifier with number of resolution points over 100
A Bragg reflector waveguide amplifier shows its possibility in making an ultra-compact and high-resolution beam-steering device. Resolution is one of the key parameters in evaluating the device performance. The technique and improvements that are presented record a highest resolution among compact beam-steering devices without a mechanical mirror. A 980 nm-VCSEL based optical beam-steering device is demonstrated, exhibiting a number of resolution points over 100.
