A simple on-line compensation scheme of nonlinearity in an inverter-fed PMSM drive using an MRAC-based disturbance estimation and co-ordinate transformation is presented. The disturbance voltage caused by the nonlinearity can be effectively estimated using the proposed scheme without any additional circuits or the disadvantages existing in the conventional methods. The asymptotic stability is proved and the effectiveness is verified through simulations.
