In order to reduce costs for grid operation and to fulfil regulatory requirements, grid operators need to analyse the relation between the organisation/employment of resources and the corresponding costs/quality of supply. This paper presents a complete grid operation model consisting of two modules for planned and unplanned work. The developed model allows to optimise the number of own employees and equipment for planned and unplanned work as well as outsourcing strategies. (4 pages)
