Having become acquainted with the basic radar principles and approaches to their implementation, in this chapter we'll briefly look at representative practical uses of airborne radar. Some of these - such as air-to-air collision avoidance, ice patrol, and search and rescue are primarily civil applications. Others - such as early warning and missile guidance - are military.
