Bistatic Radar — Recommend this title to your library

Your recommendation has been sent to your librarian.

The bistatic radar cross section of a target, σB, is a measure as is the monostatic RCS, σM, of the energy scattered from the target in the direction of the receiver. Bistatic cross sections are more complex than monostatic cross sections because σp is a function of aspect angle and bistatic angle. Three regions of bistatic RCS are of interest: pseudomonostatic, bistatic, and forward-scatter (sometimes called near-forward-scatter). Each region is defined by the bistatic angle. The extent of each region is set primarily by physical characteristics of the target.

Chapter Contents:

  • 8.1 Pseudomonostatic RCS Region
  • 8.2 Bistatic RCS Region
  • 8.3 Glint Reduction in the Bistatic RCS Region
  • 8.4 Forward-Scatter RCS Region
