Genius
Blumlein, probably the greatest British electronics engineer of the 20th Century, was a remarkably creative and fecund engineer, whose type of genius has had few equals. Although his lifespan of 38 years was tragically short, he stands very favourable comparison with Brunel (probably the greatest British engineer of the 19th Century), Edison (who has been called the greatest American inventor ever) and Faraday (the greatest 19th-Century experimentalist, anywhere).
